I love this little pouch also. I'm not the inventor just an avid sewer. I have always (and by "always", I mean twice, hee!) stitched the corners first, then cut off the excess fabric. By doing it your way, I can insure that the corners match perfectly!! It came in wonderfully handy when my middle daughter wanted a pouch to house her wireless mouse & USB connector!
